Brandywine Clean up – April 25, 2020
Help clean up the Brandywine River. Event sponsored by the Brandywine Valley Association, Canoes provided by Northbrook Canoe Company.
OPEN FOR THE SEASON – May 1, 2020
Northbrook Canoe opens for the 42nd season on May 1, 2019. Call ahead for reservations. Trips run 9 am to 4 pm, 7 days.
39th Annual Northbrook Canoe Challenge – May 3, 2020
The race that opens our season. Paddle your way from Mortonville to Northbrook along a 10 mile course on the Brandywine River. Northbrook Canoe hosts the Canoe Challenge to support the Cerebral Palsy Association of Chester County. The race is open to all skill levels and families are encouraged to participate. Mother’s Day – May 10, 2020
Join us at the food shack after your trip and enjoy BOGO for Mom. Buy an American Meal get one free for Mom! American meal includes choice of Hot Dog, Hamburger, Cheeseburger or Veggieburger, a 20 oz. drink a side of fries and an ice cream sandwich for desert. Pick up a voucher for Mom when you sign in at the end of your trip.
Lenape Day – May 16, 2020
Learn about the Lenape People who lived along the Brandywine River long ago. Try your hand at knapping arrowheads. Give the bow-drill a turn for fire starting. Hear the story of Rainbow Crow and play games honing your aim, stalking and observation skills.
Colonial Day – June 20, 2020
Come spend a day on the historic Brandywine River. Learn about the time of our forefathers on Fathers’ Day Weekend. Test your knowledge of Colonial Chester County, play colonial games, and travel along the creek as they did.
Father’s Day – June 21, 2020

Good Neighbor Day Race – July 4, 2020
Have a fun day in Downingtown celebrating our nation’s birth. Navigate from Kerr Park to the Stroud Preserve on the East Branch of the Brandywine. Call ahead to reserve your canoe for the race hosted by the Rotary Club.
Pirate Day – August 15, 2020
AHOY!! Dress like a pirate. Search for buried treasures. Plunder your fellow buccaneers. Buy a water cannon and sink your friends. Booty awaits you at Northbrook Canoe’s third annual Pirate Day!
Dress like a pirate and receive $5 off of your Canoe or Kayak trip or $2 off your Tubing trip. (Combinable with other discounts)
48th Annual Marshalton Triathlon – October 4, 2020
Take part in the oldest triathlon in the country providing a unique family fun experience for people of all ages. Pedal, Paddle, & Pace yourself through a 10 mile course. Proceeds benefit the West Bradford Fire Company. Click here for more information.
