COVID-19 Response

“Reducing the risk of exposure to COVID-19 by cleaning and disinfection is an important part of reopening public spaces that will require careful planning. Every American has been called upon to slow the spread of the virus through social distancing and prevention hygiene, such as frequently washing your hands and wearing face coverings. Everyone also has a role in making sure our communities are as safe as possible to reopen and remain open.” (Taken from, 05/15/2020)

Northbrook Canoe is committed to maintaining the health and well being of our customers and staff in response to Covid-19. We have taken steps to ensure that our location is cleaned and sanitized daily.

Our vehicles will be wiped down between each trip with a sanitizing solution approved by the EPA.

While you are on the property, staff and customers will be required to maintain social distance and wear face masks according to current guidelines.

Canoes and Kayaks are washed after each trip.

Life Jackets will be treated with a sanitizing solution and hung to dry.

All employees are temperature checked at the start of each day and as the need arises.

All surfaces will be cleaned and sanitized regularly.

Several hand sanitizer stations have been set up throughout the property for easy access to water free hand sanitizer.

New guidelines have been put in place regarding the sign-in and departure procedure.

RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED – We are unable to take walk-ins at this time!

Please be patient as we all work together to get through this. We will be working hard to get people signed in a timely manner while still keeping everyone safe.  Turn-around time will be slightly longer, but we hope to stay very close to our normal departure schedule.

Thank you for your continued support!
